For what is worth, I think we need to work with our strengths - if we don't have good enough spinners then we have to work with what we've got.
Perhaps are more important question is should the ICC do something to prevent the development of wickets that clearly favour the home side? It is pretty clear all test playing countries do it. I imagine it will be hard to police, but think it has to be done.
I'm still a purist, and love the drama and skills of test cricket. But for test cricket to survive, it needs to be a real contest.
