Its fair to say the Australian team lost the first test because they couldn't handle the Indian spinners on an Indian pitch. It was interesting how, despite appearances, Michael Clarke defended the wicket, saying it was fair.
Now the issue is, should we take two spinners into the next test?
For what is worth, I think we need to work with our strengths - if we don't have good enough spinners then we have to work with what we've got.
Perhaps are more important question is should the ICC do something to prevent the development of wickets that clearly favour the home side? It is pretty clear all test playing countries do it. I imagine it will be hard to police, but think it has to be done.
I'm still a purist, and love the drama and skills of test cricket. But for test cricket to survive, it needs to be a real contest.
I'll leave the issue of do c
